Dr. Stella Kim

Dr.-Stella-Kim Meet UsDr. Stella Kim grew up in Queens, New York, and attended Syracuse University earning a degree in biology. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Kim completed her General Practice Residency at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare hospital in Utica, New York. She strives to keep up with the latest dentistry by attending CE courses, joining study clubs, and communicating with different specialists.

Dr. Kim decided to become a dentist after receiving extensive dental treatment as a young child. From her experience, she learned the importance of maintaining good oral health. Dr. Kim emphasizes conservative and preventive dentistry and also makes her patients feel comfortable in the chair with her gentle touch. Her goal is to provide patients with a confident smile and satisfaction with their dental health.

While visiting as a college student, Dr. Kim fell in love with beautiful Northern Virginia and its mild weather and decided to move here with her husband, Nathan, who is currently practicing in Arlington as an endodontist. They met during dental school and now reside in Fairfax. They take advantage of Northern Virginia’s beautiful weather by trying new seasonal activities such as hiking, visiting the beach, biking, and kayaking.

Dr. Duy Nguyen

I became a dentist to help my patients have beautiful smiles to exude confidence, happiness, and make memorable impressions. I find dentistry fulfilling as I have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with my patients and their families. I am proud to call Virginia home.  I grew up in Burke and graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School. I later went to Virginia Tech and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering.

I worked for more than 10 years as a computer engineer. I decided to pursue a career in dentistry because I value direct interaction with patients and the service component of the dentistry profession. I enjoy being presented with a problem and using my technical skills and creativity to achieve the best desired outcome for my patients. I obtained my dental degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  I had always wanted to serve in the US military and seized the opportunity to join the United States Navy after dental school.  I obtained my Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA and then worked as a General Dentist at the Marine Corps Base at Camp Pendleton.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, golfing, playing the guitar, and gardening and cooking with my wife. My patients enjoy my laid-back personality, attention to detail, experience in dentistry, and commitment. My goal for each visit is to create the best smile for my patients, to engage them in the decision-making process, and to make each visit experience relaxing, enjoyable, and pleasant.
